Aswaganda is a herb that grows mostly in India.
Traditionally used in Far Eastern countries as an adaptogenic herb (and therefore also known as Indian ginseng).
The most important phytochemically active substances are the Vithanolides (or guathinolides), which appear to have a similar structure and biological activity to steroid hormones.
Vitanolides (or guathinolides) besides adaptogenic properties (anxiety and stress management) seem to have
1. anti-inflammatory properties
2. immune-enhancing properties
3. Testosterone increasing and sperm enhancing properties
This formulation is a titrated RIZA extract of the herb as only the root contains the Vithanolides (or guathinolides).
It also contains zinc and Vitamin C.
