Vitamins D and K are oil-soluble and play an important role in keeping the body in good condition. Vitamin D is produced by the photolytic action of ultraviolet radiation on the skin. Despite the fact that every organism can produce vitamin D, the modern lifestyle and insufficient exposure to sunlight results in a shortage of vitamin D, which has to be obtained necessarily through food.
Vitamin K is an important cofactor in a large number of biochemical reactions and is mainly found in green leafy vegetables and fermented dairy products.<\/p>\n
